With the fall of France in 1940, the German army captured a large amount of military equipment. In a classic example of wartime ingenuity, they adapted the reliable French Lorraine 37L tractor chassis, mounting their potent 7.5cm anti-tank gun in a newly designed open-topped fighting compartment. This improvised tank destroyer, known as the Marder I, went on to serve on numerous fronts throughout WWII.

This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a highly accurate replica of the unique Marder I.
