Italeri 1/35 SD.KFZ.10/4 with FLAK 30 and Crew Scaled Plastic Model Kit

During World War II, the German army made extensive use of half-track vehicles. These versatile machines provided excellent mobility across diverse environmental conditions and various types of terrain, and were adapted into numerous specialised versions and configurations for a wide range of military purposes. The Sd.Kfz. 10/4 variant was specifically designed to serve as a mobile anti-aircraft platform, mounting the effective 20mm FlaK 30 anti-aircraft gun on a reinforced rear platform. This configuration was primarily utilised to provide crucial protection to troops on the move and to safeguard convoys of tanks and other vehicles from low-altitude enemy air attacks. Capable of transporting a crew of up to eight soldiers, the Sd.Kfz. 10/4 offered a highly effective solution for close-range air defence support for ground forces. Its 20mm weapon was also frequently employed in a secondary role, providing direct fire support against ground defensive positions during infantry operations.
