Description
The iconic JU-87 Stuka dive bomber, with its distinctive gull wings, became a terrifying symbol of the Blitzkrieg during World War II. As the war progressed, new versions emerged, including the Ju-87G. Designed as an anti-tank variant, this adaptation aimed to counter the formidable Soviet armour on the Eastern Front after 1943. Stuka ace Hans Ulrich Rudel championed the addition of two 37mm Flak 18 cannons in underwing pods for enhanced firepower. This configuration, known as the "Kanonenvogel" (Cannon-bird), proved devastatingly effective in the hands of skilled pilots. Italeri have now recreated this piece of military history in 1/56 scale, ready for you to build.
