Aqueous Hobby Color is a paint that is both safe and user-friendly. It can be diluted with water if desired, and paint brushes can be cleaned and washed out in water. The solvent contained in Aqueous Hobby Color paint is very mild, making it a great choice for those who are sensitive to harsh chemicals.

Aqueous Hobby Color paint provides a glossy texture and very good levelling qualities, resulting in a smooth and even finish. The gloss level achieved with Aqueous Hobby Color gloss paints is excellent. To adjust gloss levels, use H-40 Flat Base: approximately 5% converts gloss colours to a matt finish, or 5–10% for a semi-gloss finish.

Aqueous Hobby Color also has an improved drying speed compared to conventional solvent-based paints, which is particularly noticeable when airbrushing. It can be used on a wide variety of surfaces, including plastic, wood, metal, and resin.

Safety note: Air brushing involves the atomisation of paint into an airborne particle. Always spray in a well-ventilated area with adequate safety equipment. Use a correctly fitted face mask with the correct rated filters (P2 minimum). A spray booth is also highly recommended. Paints are Class 3 Flammables — be cautious around ignition sources and open flames.
