In the 1975 Le Mans 24 Hours race, an unusual contender emerged in the form of Michel Guicherd and Jean-Claude Geral's Chrysler Hemicuda. This imposing American muscle car was entered into the 'T' or touring class, but it was essentially a customised hill climb vehicle and, unfortunately, proved unsuitable for the demanding challenges of the world's most gruelling 24-hour race. Regrettably, it did not qualify. Nevertheless, during practice runs, as the large machine thundered down the straightaways, it certainly presented a captivating spectacle.
