Scalextric
Scalextric
Scalextric is a track-based slot car racing system first invented by Fred Francisin 1956 in Hampshire, England. Scalextric was unveiled at the Harrogate Toy Fair in 1957 to immediate acclaim. It appealed to both adults and children, combining speed, competition and the glamour of full size motor racing. Today, it still does - Scalextric is for all ages.
After nearly half a century on a proven concept, Scalextric updated to a digital driving system that allows lane changes, overtaking, and live lap times. Add that to incredible scale realism and a huge array of cars available (and full backwards compatibility with older models), and it’s no wonder the brand Scalextric has become the best, most famous and long-lived slot car racing company of all time.
