FAQs for ZooRacing Competition Body Shells
Is ZooRacing a good body brand for competition touring cars?
ZooRacing is a specialist 1/10 touring car body shell brand used by serious club and national-level racers. Shells like the Panterra Ultralight, Hyrax, Wolverine MAX and Bwoah GT LMH are designed for aerodynamic balance, steering response and rear grip on high-bite asphalt and carpet. If you're racing TC or GT classes and want a shell that complements a modern setup, ZooRacing is widely respected. It's probably overkill for casual bashing, but for Australian touring car racers it's one of the go-to names alongside Protoform.
What sets ZooRacing shells apart from cheaper bodies?
ZooRacing develops shells specifically for the aero demands of modern 1/10 touring car and GT racing, with variants like the Panterra Ultralight for low-inertia steering response, the Hyrax and Wolverine MAX for balanced all-round use, the Bwoah GT LMH for Le Mans-inspired GT classes and the GOAT and Gorilla Max FWD for specialist categories. Each shell targets a different grip level or class, rather than being a one-size-fits-all body. That optimisation is why Australian TC racers often run different ZooRacing shells across winter and summer conditions.
Do you stock ZooRacing bodies in Australia?
Yes, we carry a curated ZooRacing range in our Australian warehouse across 11 current lines, including the Panterra Ultralight, Hyrax, Wolverine MAX, Bwoah GT LMH, GOAT and Gorilla Max FWD. Because ZooRacing releases new moulds fairly regularly and retires others, the exact menu shifts over time. The ZooRacing category page always shows the live list. If you're chasing a particular shell for an upcoming race and can't see it, message us and we'll check whether it's inbound or recommend the closest equivalent.
Which ZooRacing shell should I pick for TC racing?
For typical club TC racing on asphalt or carpet, the Wolverine MAX and Hyrax are safe balanced choices that suit most drivers. The Panterra Ultralight is a great option when you want sharper steering feel on lower-grip surfaces, while the Bwoah GT LMH targets scale-style GT classes. FWD racers should look at the Gorilla Max FWD. If you're unsure which ZooRacing body matches your local Australian track and class, share the details with our team and we'll recommend the right shell.
