Debuting in 1999, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R was the company's answer to the call for a 300km/h-plus super sports bike. Developed with the help of Kawasaki's aerospace division, its slippery aerodynamics and potent 1,199cc engine made it a top contender in the "hyperbike" class. A key feature was its unique aluminium monocoque frame, which also doubled as the bike's airbox.

This 1/12 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the groundbreaking Kawasaki. A special feature of this model is the use of semi-transparent green plastic for the fairing parts, allowing a fascinating look at the detailed engine and unique monocoque frame even after the model is completed.
