Debuting in 1990, the Honda NSX was a landmark car that redefined the concept of the everyday supercar. It was the world's first mass-production car to feature an all-aluminium monocoque body, and its mid-mounted, high-revving V6 engine was equipped with Honda's revolutionary VTEC variable valve timing system. With its combination of exotic looks, incredible performance, and everyday usability, the NSX became a benchmark for sports car design.
This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the legendary original NSX. The model features working retractable "pop-up" headlights that can be moved even after assembly. The rear window hatch opens, and the maintenance lid can be removed to showcase the detailed V6 DOHC-VTEC engine underneath. The kit is highly versatile, offering the choice to be built as either a left- or right-hand drive version.
