Overview

The PBR 31 Mk.II, or "Pibber," was a high-speed, heavily armed patrol boat used extensively by the U.S. Navy in the riverine warfare of the Vietnam War. Its shallow draft and powerful water jet propulsion made it ideal for operating in the confined waterways of the Mekong Delta, where its crews engaged in patrol, interdiction, and fire support missions.

This classic 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the iconic river patrol boat. The model accurately captures the PBR's unique hull form and features a detailed interior. The boat's formidable armament, including the twin .50 calibre machine guns, is realistically depicted.
