The Tamiya MudMad is the second R/C model assembly kit on the super-compact and fun to drive SW-01 chassis. The body itself is inspired by off-road vehicles and was dreamt up by designer Takayaki Yamazaki who fans of Tamiya will remember from the Dual Ridge kit and other Tamiya vehicles. 190mm long and 150mm wide, the SW-01 is a compact, highly fun 4WD chassis. A Type 370 motor is central in the slim monocoque frame, with gears transmitting its output to the front and rear of the model, where 70mm tires translate it into a powerful drive. The chassis power source is mounted in the top section to allow wild wheelies under acceleration. Strut type 4-wheel independent coil sprung suspension utilizes single piece upper arms to link left and right wheel steering motion, helping suppress roll during turns, and together with front and rear differentials realize a tight turning circle.

Factory Painted Body Shell

The Mudmad's comically-styled body, designed by Kyosho's Yamasaki, is a perfect match for the compact SW-01 chassis. Pre-painted in light blue with pre-cut wheel arch and body catch sections, it's ready for action right out of the box.

Centrally Mounted Motor

The centrally located 370 size motor powers all four wheels through a gear-driven 4WD system, providing smooth and reliable performance for tackling any terrain.

Wheelie Bar

The Mudmad is built for fun and excitement, with a wheelie bar that makes it easy to perform impressive stunts. The realistic exhaust details add a touch of authenticity and enhance the overall visual appeal.

Stylish Wheels

The Mudmad's wheels are designed for both style and performance. The black dish design adds a touch of classic cool, while the durable construction ensures reliable performance on any terrain.

Top Mount Battery

The Mudmad's battery is strategically positioned on top of the chassis to optimize weight distribution for wheelies. This configuration makes it easier to lift the front wheels and perform impressive stunts.
