When airbrushing, use one of the following Tamiya thinners:

- Lacquer Thinner (Retarder Type) 250ml
Tamiya acrylic paints can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner (part nos. 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520) or Tamiya Lacquer Thinner (87077). Using Lacquer Thinner yields faster drying results and a harder finish. For better brush painting results, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) for a smoother, brushstroke-free finish. X-designated colours have a glossy finish; XF-designated colours are flat finish.
