Overview

When airbrushing, make sure to use one of the following Tamiya thinners:

X-20A Acrylic Paint Thinner 10ml

X-20A Acrylic Paint Thinner 23ml

X-20A Acrylic Paint Thinner 46ml

X-20A Acrylic Paint Thinner 250ml

Lacquer Thinner (Retarder Type) 250ml

Note

Tamiya acrylic paints can be used on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, plus all common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly, and can be blended easily. Prior to curing, paint can be washed away with plain water.

When airbrushing, compatible thinner part numbers are: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077. X-designated colours have a glossy finish; XF-designated colours are flat finish. The paint can be thinned for airbrushing using Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner, or Tamiya Lacquer Thinner (which yields faster drying results and a harder finish). For better brush painting results, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) for a smoother, brushstroke-free finish.
