Is the shell fits to my traxxas trx4 chevrolet blaze k5 chasis?
This Land Rover Defender body shell will not fit a standard TRX-4 Chevrolet K5 Blazer chassis directly out of the box without modifications.
The Defender body requires a 324mm wheelbase, whereas the K5 Blazer chassis is set up for a 312mm wheelbase. To fit this shell onto a K5 Blazer chassis, you will need to extend the wheelbase to 324mm using a long wheelbase conversion kit (such as Traxxas part 8057).
Additionally, this is a clipless body shell. If your K5 Blazer chassis uses traditional body posts and clips, you will also need clipless inner fenders and mounting hardware to attach the shell.
I have traxxas trx4 1/10 chevrolet blazer k5 clippless can fit the defender body? Is the clipless mount still the same location?
Hi Ian, The Wheelbase of the K5 is 312 mm, while this shell is 324mm. it could be made to fit, but it will almost certainly require modification and will likely not fit with the existing clipless body system.
Hi, I have a FMS 1/10 chassis, you reckon will fit on?
No, this body shell is not a direct fit for an FMS 1/10 chassis.
This Traxxas body shell is designed specifically for the Traxxas TRX-4 Land Rover Defender chassis. It features Traxxas' proprietary clipless mounting system, which relies on specific latching mechanisms and inner fenders built into the TRX-4 chassis. FMS chassis do not have these mounting points.
Additionally, the body is designed for a 324mm wheelbase. While some FMS 1/10 models (such as the FCX10 LC80 at 325mm) are very close in wheelbase, others (such as the FJ40 at 339mm) are not.
To mount this body on an FMS chassis, you would need to perform extensive custom modifications. This would include removing the Traxxas clipless mounting hardware from the inside of the body and fabricating custom body posts or magnetic mounts, as well as ensuring your specific FMS chassis wheelbase is adjusted to match.
