Overview

This is a new and more affordable version of the legendary Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL. Traxxas have replaced the Velineon brushless motor and ESC with a powerful brushed Titan 12T 550 size motor and XL-5 ESC, making this an affordable version of the proven Traxxas Slash 4x4 ideal for beginners looking for a quality RC short course truck.

The Titan 12T 550 motor has an inbuilt cooling fan reducing running temperatures, allowing faster speeds and longer run times without having to worry about overheating. Precise control is easy with the included 2.4 GHz TQ radio system.

Hobbies Direct recommends using the Traxxas Patented Training Mode as it limits the power output of the model to 50%, which makes practising much easier and safer and is also an excellent idea when giving your friends a try. Note

The charger included can only charge from a 12v cigarette lighter port (e.g. your car). If you need to charge from a standard wall plug (240v) you need to purchase the Traxxas 13.8v 3.5A Power Supply separately.

    Update on slash. I've made my slash brushless and it's now more fun than ever!!!! Just with some bigger batteries and some better dive shafts, this is one of the toughest RC trucks ever!!! So get one and become a member of the RC community if you starting or a seasoned pro this will always bring a smile to your face. And this truck needs there little maintenance and care. So I hope this review will help you and I hope to see you with your Traxxas Slash 4x4 out on the trails soon. Joshua Gorry

    This Traxxas Slash 4x4 is a great RC short course truck to get anyone into the fast and exciting world of RC vehicles. With its power full brushed motor, it gives this car the fun for the back yard and the speed and power for the beach, or oval. And with many upgrades to choose from
