Trumpeter 1/350 Seiner Majestät Schiff (SMS) Szent Istvan Austro-Hungarian Tegetthoff-Class Dreadnought Battleship Scaled Plastic Model Kit
The SMS Szent István in 1912 started service in July 1914 and is the world's first triple piggyback gun dreadnought. Turrets and guns are from the Skoda arsenal, equipped with a 305mm main gun in triple mounts with a range of 20km. Auxiliary guns — also Skoda-produced 150mm cannons — are mounted on the side of the cabin deck inside a gun layer profile. The ship used a rare flat deck design; host power is 27,000 horsepower and speed is about 20.4 knots. During World War I, due to the geographical limitations of the Adriatic Sea, the Szent István was mostly docked in harbour. On 30 June 1918, the Szent István and her sister ship set sail to break the blockade and the ship was sunk by an Italian Navy torpedo boat.
