Overview

The De Havilland DH.103 Hornet was a British twin-engine piston fighter that was a direct development of the legendary Mosquito. Entering service just as World War II was ending, the Hornet was one of the fastest and most powerful piston-engine fighters ever built. It served with the post-war Royal Air Force as both a long-range day fighter and later as a capable ground-attack aircraft during the Malayan Emergency.
