Artesania Latina 1/16 German WWII Messerschmitt Bf109G Scaled Metal Model Kit

The Messerschmitt Bf109G was designed in the early 1930s by the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke (BF) and became the most produced German fighter of the era, with almost 34,000 units built. Fully metallic monocoque construction, a closed cockpit and retractable landing gear made it one of the first truly modern fighters of its time. It served as an interceptor, escort, fighter-bomber, day and night fighter, ground-attack aircraft and reconnaissance aircraft, and achieved more than 900 victories — particularly as part of the Jagdgeschwader 52 fleet.

This 1:16 scale model kit is aimed at initiated modellers and uses a tab assembly system that allows the aircraft structure to be built almost without glue. Metal parts come in photoetched stainless steel sheets and injected die-cast and plastic. Moving parts include manual retractable landing gear, a practicable cockpit canopy, and workable ailerons, flaps and tail. The kit includes a micromotor that drives the propeller and LED position lights in the wings, tail and cockpit (requires 3 AAA batteries, not included). A methacrylate base with engraved nameplate is also included. Assembly instructions are provided on DVD in nine languages.
