The Fokker Dr.I was a German triplane fighter from the First World War, made famous at the end of 1917 by legendary pilot Manfred von Richthofen — the Red Baron. Created by Dutch designer Anthony Fokker, the Fokker Dr.I became the Allies' nightmare, with its highest rival being the British Sopwith Camel. It achieved numerous victories for the German side before the war's end.
This 1:16 wooden model kit is a faithful replica of the original, using the same materials as the real aircraft: metal structure and wood for the wings. The kit contains more than 700 pieces and includes an acrylic display stand with engraved nameplate, brass and steel engraving, injected metal parts and cockpit details. Multimedia assembly instructions are provided on DVD in 7 languages, with video tutorials and more than 1,000 photos.
