The Viking ship is here — enjoy the renewed 1/75 scale wooden model of this iconic boat. For Artesanía Latina, it is a pride to present it because it was the first of the models created for novice modellers more than twenty years ago, and now it has been completely redesigned.

The Vikings were the first Europeans to reach America several hundred years before Christopher Columbus. In 1995, the Viking model was the first model launched in Artesanía Latina's acclaimed 19000 series of initiation. Today, more than 20 years later, a completely renovated wooden model is presented — designed for those who want to start on naval modelling and for those who have previous experience.

Designed entirely on 3D, the Viking's renewed wooden model includes all hull parts laser-cut from first-quality linden board. The hull is double-lined: a first with birch ladles and a second lining with sapelly veneer. The second liner is designed for beginner modellers because it allows hiding small errors of the first liner. The kit also includes wood and metal decorations (such as two dragon heads), a stand, a nameplate, and a beautiful pre-sewn colour sail ready to be fixed to the stick.

The new Viking includes a DVD for computers or laptops — PC or Mac — with complete step-by-step colour instructions widely commented and explained, including video tutorials showing different techniques and tricks of modelling.
