But because of their speed and handling challenges, RC jets have been almost impossible for first-time or low-time RC pilots to fly successfully — until now. Thanks to the E-flite Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70mm EDF jet, you can actually learn to fly RC airplanes successfully with a jet. The Habu STS 70mm EDF is based on the legendary Habu, one of the best high-performance Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) sport jet platforms ever created. E-flite engineers optimised the design to improve its low-speed handling and slow speed performance and added options for taking advantage of exclusive Spektrum SAFE flight assistance technology.
The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes with a factory-installed power system and servos, ready to connect to the compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately), plus the transmitter and battery you provide. Simply install the receiver, finish any final assembly, and fly.

Equipped with a 70-amp telemetry-capable ESC, a specially-tuned motor, and a 10-blade 70mm fan, the Habu STS delivers plenty of thrust. Fly with a 3S LiPo for ample power, or upgrade to a 4S battery for even more speed and excitement – no modifications needed!
Built from advanced EPO material, the Habu STS boasts a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe. It's designed to withstand the knocks and bumps of everyday flying, and should you ever need them, a full range of replacement parts are readily available to keep you in the air.
The Habu STS 70mm EDF PNP arrives mostly assembled from the factory. You'll complete final assembly quickly and easily, without needing any glue or special tools. This means you'll be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery!
The Habu STS features wide-stance tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel and oversized tyres. This setup offers much-improved ground handling, making take-offs and landings easier on various surfaces, from paved runways to grass and even dirt.
