With the E-flite F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF jet, more pilots can enjoy flying a replica of the iconic fighter than ever before. Developed for the U.S. Navy, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat made its first deployment in 1974 aboard the USS Enterprise, replacing the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This E-flite model is based on the F-14D Super Tomcat variant and the factory-applied finish pays homage to Strike Fighter Squadron 2 (VFA-2), also known as the famous “Bounty Hunters”. During its 2002–2003 deployment — the final cruise with the Tomcat — VF-2 participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom flying reconnaissance, close air support, CAP and strike missions.
The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF recreates the VF-2 fighter with functional variable-sweep wings and full-flying stabs for an authentic and unique flying experience. It is scaled to be practical for more pilots to fly and is compatible with popular 4S 2200mAh batteries. Equipped with exclusive AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies, it is easier to fly than any other TOPGUN Tomcat EDF model yet. It arrives fully-assembled and nearly ready to fly, with a factory-installed receiver providing real-time telemetry data including battery voltage, current, motor RPM and more via compatible Spektrum AirWare-equipped radios.

This is the first F-14 Tomcat model to feature exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out wind for a 'locked-in' feel like a larger plane, while optional SAFE Select offers pitch/bank limits and self-levelling, making this the easiest-to-fly Tomcat yet!
The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF is equipped with a control unit that includes a receiver and ESCs, providing a range of real-time power system telemetry data like motor RPM, current, and battery voltage. This information is sent directly to compatible Spektrum™ AirWare™ equipped transmitters as you fly.
The factory-installed brushless power systems feature 40mm fans with high RPM out-runner motors. This twin power setup is engineered to deliver excellent performance, especially when paired with popular 4S 2200mAh 30+C batteries, ensuring plenty of thrust and speed.
