The Kyosho Onboard Monitor brings FPV (first person view) control to hobby R/C models, operating on 2.4GHz FHSS frequency to minimise image transmission delay. Unlike most systems that operate on 5.8GHz (which can require an amateur radio license), the Onboard Monitor operates on 2.4GHz. The wireless camera incorporates a transmission unit that communicates independently with the monitor mounted on the transmitter. The camera tip can be moved ±20° for manual angle adjustment. The 4.3-inch colour LCD monitor features a micro SD card slot, AV output terminal, and five control buttons (SNAP, REC, VIEW, UP, DOWN). The monitor attachment is compatible with Kyosho KT-231(+), KT-331P, and KT-531P transmitters, and the monitor is also equipped with a camera screw so it can be attached to a standard tripod.

Wireless camera installation on R/C model

The wireless camera bolts straight onto the Drone Racer and can also be installed on the MINI-Z Racer with the included conversion connector.

FPV monitor controls and interface

Five buttons available: SNAP for still shots, REC for recording, VIEW for replay, UP and DOWN for menu navigation.

Wireless camera angle adjustment

The tip of the wireless camera can be moved ±20° for manual adjustment of camera angle; weighing only 12g with 480x272 video resolution.
