The F-89 Scorpion was the United States Air Force's first two-seat all-weather fighter aircraft, renowned as the most heavily armed fighter ever built. The 1950 F-89D series introduced significant modifications, including a combined fuel/missile canister at the wingtip capable of holding 1,165 litres of fuel and 52 FFAR missiles.
