First introduced in 1990, the Mitsubishi GTO (sold as the 3000GT in many markets) was a technological showcase that burst onto the 4WD sports car scene. The top-grade model was packed with cutting-edge features for its time, including a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine, full-time 4WD, four-wheel steering, and even active aerodynamics and exhaust systems. The GTO was a true "multi-performance supercar" of its era.
This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya accurately captures the powerful, wide-body form of the classic GTO. The model features a detailed underside that depicts the complex front strut and rear double-wishbone suspension, as well as the unique active exhaust system. The interior is also realistically recreated, and the kit includes optional parts to build the car in either right- or left-hand drive configuration.
