Released in 1970, the two-door hard-top Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R, affectionately known in Japan as the "Hakosuka," is a true automotive icon. Powered by a race-derived S20 inline-6 engine, it was a dominant force in Japanese touring car racing, achieving an incredible 50 victories. This on-track success cemented its legendary status, which continues to this day.
This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya accurately captures the classic, boxy form of the revered "Hakosuka." The model features a detailed depiction of the potent S20 inline-6 engine under an opening hood. The interior is faithfully recreated with bucket seats and the classic three-spoke steering wheel. The model is finished with high-quality metal-plated parts for the bumpers and front grille, an optional rear spoiler, and realistic solid rubber tyres.
