Debuting in 1978, the second-generation Nissan Fairlady Z inherited the classic "long nose, short deck" style of its predecessor but with improved aerodynamics and mechanics. In 1980, it became the first domestically produced Japanese car to adopt a T-bar roof, offering an open-air experience with the security of a coupe. With its powerful inline-six engine, it cemented its reputation as a high-speed grand tourer.

This 1/24 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the iconic 280Z T-bar roof. The model features a detachable bonnet which reveals the detailed engine room, while the T-bar roof panels are recreated with transparent parts and can also be removed. The kit includes chrome-plated parts for the wheels and bumpers, a driver figure, and masking stickers for the glass roof sections.
