During the Second World War, the British military made extensive use of light utility cars, which were affectionately known to soldiers as the "Tilly". Based on civilian passenger car chassis, these small and reliable pickup-style vehicles served as the legs of the Allied forces on all fronts. They were used for a wide range of essential tasks, from transporting personnel and supplies to vital communications and liaison duties just behind the front lines.
This 1/35 scale Tamiya kit is a highly realistic model of the compact and classic "Tilly". A standout feature is the fully reproduced engine bay, which can be observed under the separate, opening hood panels. The kit offers many display options, with separate doors and a rear gate that can be modelled open or closed, with a choice of steel or wooden parts. A driver figure and four decal options are included to complete this fantastic model.
