Overview

The M561 "Gama Goat" was a unique six-wheel-drive, semi-amphibious off-road vehicle used by the U.S. military during the Vietnam War era. Its nickname came from its designer, Roger Gamaunt, and its tenacious, "goat-like" climbing ability. This was made possible by its most distinctive feature: an articulated joint between the tractor and carrier modules that allowed them to move independently, conquering incredibly rough terrain.

This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the one-of-a-kind Gama Goat. The model accurately captures the powerful two-module form, and its key articulation joint is recreated using a poly cap to provide authentic movement even after assembly. The kit includes optional parts for a front-mounted winch, a posable windscreen, a driver figure, and a choice of three different marking options.
