The Panzer IV Ausf.D was a key German medium tank during the opening stages of World War II, playing a vital role in the Blitzkrieg campaigns in Poland and France. Armed with a short-barrelled 75mm gun, it was designed primarily for infantry support, a role in which it excelled.
