When U.S. Marines deployed to the Persian Gulf War in 1990, their veteran M60A1 tanks needed updates to face modern threats. The solution was the addition of explosive reactive armour (ERA) blocks, which gave the classic tank a unique and formidable appearance. This Tamiya 1/35 scale plastic assembly kit faithfully depicts this important Gulf War vehicle.
The model artfully captures the different cast metal and canvas surface textures of the real tank, and includes a host of accessories such as spare wheels, jerry cans, and camouflage netting. To complete the scene, the set also comes with a full-body commander figure and a loader torso figure, further enhancing the realism of the finished model.
