Tamiya's BT-01 chassis redefines customisation for RC. Choose your drive system — Front-Wheel Drive, Mid-Rear Wheel Drive, or Rear-Wheel Drive — to perfectly match your chosen body. This kit includes the iconic fourth-generation Toyota Supra (JZA80) body in the first release.
The BT-01's quick-switch design allows you to swap between drive configurations without disassembling key components. Simply adjust the final gear and steering linkage direction, and choose from front (FR) or midship rear (MR) motor placement for rear-wheel drive. Its symmetrical 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with friction dampers ensures smooth handling, while unitised sections simplify assembly and maintenance.
The polycarbonate body meticulously recreates the legendary form of the fourth-generation Toyota Supra (JZA80), a favourite among JDM car enthusiasts.
Separate headlight cases, ABS plastic side mirrors, and ABS plastic rear wing provide a high level of scale realism, making this model stand out.
The BT-01 features a unique three-section steering system that delivers exceptional responsiveness and control. The servo is strategically positioned at the rear right, connected to the steering linkage via a long link rod for optimal efficiency.
Maintenance is made easy thanks to the BT-01's unitised motor mount. Secured with just two screws, it allows for quick and easy access to the motor for adjustments or upgrades.
The BT-01's adjustable midship motor layout enhances balance and handling. Positioned on the rear left, the motor delivers power smoothly to the rear wheels through a reliable propeller shaft but can also be moved to the front right for a higher level of weight bias customisability.
The BT-01 allows for quick and easy battery swaps with the convenient flip-up holder. Simply flip the holder open to access the battery compartment, making battery changes as quick and easy as possible.
The BT-01 is competition-ready with a built-in transponder stay. This convenient feature provides a secure mounting point for your transponder, ensuring accurate timing and hassle-free racing.
