The F-100 is a supersonic jet fighter once equipped by the US Air Force. It flew for the first time in May 1953, and the first production model rolled off the line in October. F-100F is a two-seater trainer type in the F-100 family. She modified the fuselage on the basis of the single-seater F-100D and retained most of the weapons and equipment. F-100F can perform low-risk missions, help other fighter-bombers indicate targets, can perform SAR (search and rescue missions), and is the first "Wild Weasel" model to suppress enemy air defense systems. By the end of the Vietnam War in 1971, the aircraft had performed more than 360,000 combat missions. The A Pratt & Whitney J57-P-21/21A turbojet engine produces thrust of 4626 kg and an afterburner thrust of up to 7257 kg.
