Academy da Vinci Series Helicopter Edukit Scaled Plastic Model Kit
Da Vinci's Helicopter.
This helical design is based on a 1480s drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. The operation of the rotor wings could be powered by a pilot using his arms and legs. During takeoff, today's helicopters use a similar vertical rotation concept. It demonstrates a combination of natural and mechanical movements.
"Leonardo from Vinci", born April 15, 1452, was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect & engineer who epitomised the cultural exploration and innovativeness of the Renaissance period. While most known for his paintings such as The Last Supper (1495-98) & Mona Lisa (1503-19), he was also an inventor and mechanical engineer with inventions utilising modern science and technology centuries ahead of their time.
Build the mechanical inventions of Leonardo da Vinci! Leonardo3 recreates the original designs to produce a scale model that is accessible to all kit builders, from beginner to advanced and require no extra tools to construct the finished model.
