Academy da Vinci Series Flying Machine Edukit Scaled Plastic Model Kit
Da Vinci's Flying Machine.
The flying machine was designed to be controlled by a man lying horizontally using his arms and legs to move the wings. Although it never became practical, the Flying Machine was invented in the 15th century by Leonardo da Vinci. It demonstrated a good combination of natural and mechanical movement.
Inspired by birds, you can move the wings using the conversion of rotary motion in reciprocating motion from another invention of Leonardo.
"Leonardo from Vinci", born April 15, 1452, was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect & engineer who epitomised the cultural exploration and innovativeness of the Renaissance period. While most known for his paintings such as The Last Supper (1495-98) & Mona Lisa (1503-19), he was also an inventor and mechanical engineer with inventions utilising modern science and technology centuries ahead of their time.
Build the mechanical inventions of Leonardo da Vinci! Leonardo3 recreates the original designs to produce a scale model that is accessible to all kit builders, from beginner to advanced and require no extra tools to construct the finished model.
