Da Vinci's Catapult. The Catapult uses the elasticity of rubber bands to hurl scale-sized "boulders" up to 10ft and more! As a weapon of war, it took its power from the bow-shaped body and launcher-arm.
Leonardo da Vinci, born April 15, 1452, was an Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect & engineer who epitomised the cultural exploration and innovativeness of the Renaissance period. While most known for his paintings such as The Last Supper (1495–98) & Mona Lisa (1503–19), he was also an inventor and mechanical engineer with inventions utilising modern science and technology centuries ahead of their time.
