Discover the Jolie Brise, a 1/50 scale replica made in wood of this famous cutter of French origin. After a short trajectory as a pilot boat, it came to be used as a fishing boat due to the substitution of sail propulsion by steam engines. The Jolie Brise could reach speeds of 9–10 knots. Its construction by means of false keel and frames approaches the assembly of the model to the real boat's construction.
It became a legendary racing cutter, winning the first Fastnet Race in 1925 and again in 1930, among many other races. It gained great fame when rescuing the Adriana crew in the Bermuda Ocean Race of 1932; their boat caught fire and was lost during the race.
