The SCX10 III Base Camp Builder's Kit is a new way to experience SCX10-based adventure. It's a classic crawling platform with proven Axial quality and innovation. The assembly process makes you an expert on its engineering and allows you to express your individuality by choosing a body style, tyres, wheels, and electronics. The Base Camp Kit is an improved version of the Axial RTR rig with an optional servo-actuated dig feature, robust 6mm stainless steel links, and Standard AR45 straight axles. The LCXU transmission makes it easy to switch to portal axles. The kit gives you the perfect foundation for your adventuring with an optimised suspension, steering, and a trail-tough drivetrain.
The Base Camp Kit's strong, realistic SCX10 III steel C-channel chassis reduces frame flexing and increases the precision of suspension movement. It also adjusts to accommodate a wide variety of body styles (optional links req.).
The kit's LCXU transmission can be externally locked in standard 4WD, but also has an optional, servo-actuated dig feature for improved turning and control.
In addition to all-metal internal gears for strength and durability, the LCXU transmission also features a full set of ball bearings for a smooth, efficient ride.
The kit includes Standard AR45 straight axles that mirror what's found under most full-size off-road vehicles. The LCXU transmission design also makes it easy to switch from standard axles to portals if desired.
All pivot points are on stainless steel balls that provide durable, long-lasting performance.
Normally considered an upgrade, the metal panhard mount is included in the SCX10 III Base Camp Builder's Kit as a standard part.
