Mike Patey's passion for aviation has inspired countless enthusiasts, and his trademark aircraft, "Scrappy" is a testament to his innovative spirit. The E-flite Micro Scrappy 800mm, an officially licensed replica that captures the essence of this STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft. Slightly larger than typical ultra-micro models, this design better replicates the complex details of the original, including moulded-in rivets, panel lines, and struts. Despite its complex appearance, it's small and light enough to be flown in large backyards, local parks, and sports fields. This Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic version includes a pre-installed Spektrum receiver with AS3X and SAFE Select technologies, allowing intermediate to experienced pilots to use their own compatible transmitter, battery, and charger for a personalised setup.
The Micro Scrappy is packed with features, including LED navigation and landing lights, operational flaps, and a steerable tailwheel. Its oversized, tundra-style tyres on wire main gear absorb bumps, providing excellent prop clearance for take-offs and landings on varied surfaces like grass, dirt, or pavement. The factory-installed brushless motor and uniquely shaped 4-blade propeller deliver smooth, realistic performance on a 3S 300mAh battery or aggressive aerobatic capabilities with a 4S pack—no modifications required. The Spektrum receiver provides real-time telemetry data, such as battery voltage and motor RPM, to compatible transmitters. Constructed from lightweight yet durable EPS material, the airframe is easy to assemble with a single screw for the wing, making transport and storage convenient.

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? This Bind-N-Fly® aircraft gets you in the air fast. It comes with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver pre-installed. Just bind the receiver to your compatible transmitter, complete any minor final assembly, and you're ready to fly.

Optional-use SAFE® Select offers bank limits and self-levelling, which can be turned on or off with a switch, making this a very forgiving Scrappy model.

Choose your performance level with the 3S and 4S compatible brushless power system. Use a 3S battery for smooth, scale-like flying and basic aerobatics. For more speed and better-than-scale vertical performance, simply use a 4S battery with no modifications or upgrades required to get more power.
The Micro Scrappy is loaded with details for a true-to-scale look. It includes functional features like flaps and a full set of LED lights. The airframe also features moulded-in rivets, panel lines, and antennas, which add to the realism of this unique aircraft.
Fly from surfaces that are impossible for most models this size. The oversized, tundra-style tyres on the wire main gear with simulated shocks soak up bumps and provide excellent prop clearance. This allows you to easily operate from grass, gravel paths, and paved surfaces.
The Micro Scrappy arrives mostly factory-assembled with the power system and servos pre-installed. All you need to do is attach the one-piece wing with a single screw. The wing is just as easy to remove for convenient transport and storage, getting you flying with minimal fuss.
The airframe is constructed from advanced EPS material, which is both lightweight and very durable. It allows for more surface detail than other foams and is also easily repairable with most foam-safe glues. In case of a major mishap, a full line of spare parts is readily available.
