Description

The P-51D Mustang is one of the most iconic fighter aircraft of all time, and many are still flown today in air races around the world. The "Voodoo" is a modified P-51D that famously won the Unlimited Class at the Reno Air Races multiple times. The E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo is an ultra-micro version of this famous racer, allowing more pilots to experience the thrill of flying a P-51 racer in a convenient, park-flyer size. This model is an updated and upgraded version of the original UMX P-51D, now featuring a 2S and 3S compatible power system, optional-use SAFE Select technology, and real-time battery voltage telemetry to compatible transmitters, making it easier and more fun to fly than ever.

Because of its ultra-micro size, the UMX Voodoo can be enjoyed in more places and smaller spaces, including many local parks and sports fields. The Bind-N-Fly Basic version comes with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum receiver with AS3X and SAFE Select technologies factory-installed. For smooth surfaces, you can use the included fixed landing gear with a steerable tailwheel to taxi, take off, and land. For more speed and better vertical performance, you can easily remove the landing gear for hand launching and landing on grass. It all adds up to deliver the most affordable, convenient, and easiest-to-fly replica of a P-51 racer yet.

Exclusive AS3X® and SAFE® Select

This UMX™ P-51D Voodoo features exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out wind and turbulence, giving it a 'locked-in' feel like a much larger aircraft. Optional SAFE Select offers pitch/bank limits and self-levelling, making this the easiest P-51 racer to fly yet!

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting airborne quickly and with superb control easier than ever. This model arrives with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed; simply bind to your compatible transmitter, finish final assembly, and fly!

Real-Time Telemetry Capable

The UMX P-51D Voodoo is equipped with a control unit and receiver providing real-time flight battery voltage telemetry. This data is sent to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e, NX, and iX series) while you fly, keeping you informed about your power system.

Higher Performance Power

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 2S and 3S-compatible out-runner motor. This upgraded setup delivers performance similar to the original with 2S 280–300mAh batteries (JST-RCY to JST-PH adapter required). Or, with 3S 300mAh batteries, it becomes one of the fastest UMX models, offering unlimited vertical performance!

The UMX P-51D Voodoo arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to fly straight from the box! It’s equipped with industry-leading Spektrum 2.4GHz technology that binds to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter, so you can be flying within minutes of opening the package.

Versatile Gear Options

You can use the included fixed landing gear, complete with a steerable tailwheel in the scale location, for taxiing, take-offs, and landings on smooth surfaces. Alternatively, leave the landing gear off for more speed and vertical performance when hand launching over and landing on grass.
