The Element RC Gaterunner RC Desert Truck brings desert racing fun and builder-level detail together. Dave from My Build Projects on YouTube and Instagram inspired the design, and this 1/10 scale 2WD kit captures the look of a purpose-built desert runner from every angle. The clear Ecto cab and rear cage body set is ready for your own paint scheme, and it carries injection-moulded fuel cell and radiator details at the heart of the truck. A roof-mounted lightbar takes 3mm LEDs for working lights, and a detailed interior with helmeted driver and co-driver figures adds even more realism. Officially licensed General Grabber X3 tyres in a soft, high-grip compound sit on silver Method 701 Trail Series beadlock wheels. The screen-printed decal sheet lets you recreate the striking box art livery.
Underneath, the Gaterunner is built for speed on rough ground. A tough hard anodised bronze chassis with a new brace and support system gives the truck a rigid backbone. The race-proven independent front suspension comes straight from the Team Associated RC10B6 buggy, with heavy-duty steel tie rods and a blue anodised aluminium arm mount for sharp, precise handling. At the back, the classic GKS trailing arm suspension and anti-roll bar keep the truck steady through fast corners, and smooth Factory Team threaded aluminium shocks soak up bumps and jumps. A new one-piece rear axle holds a strong open differential with metal ring, pinion and planetary gears. An efficient high-speed centre transmission on an adjustable CNC aluminium motor mount drives it. A black aluminium front bumper skid plate ties into the G-10 shock tower to absorb impacts, and full metal ball bearings keep everything spinning freely. Add your own electronics and a 2S shorty LiPo, and this rewarding kit build becomes a seriously capable RC desert truck.
