When connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, the battery's integrated microchip automatically uploads its unique parameters — chemistry, capacity, C rating, cell count, charge cycles, temperature history, and internal resistance — so charging is as simple as pressing Start. Preset charge, discharge, and storage parameters are relayed automatically, and the charger remembers the last charge rate you set.

Smart LiPo batteries also maintain an error log of over-heat, over-discharge, and over-charge incidents, giving you the data to make informed decisions about each pack. The charge rate is user-customisable, allowing you to take full advantage of packs with faster charge ratings.
