The Cromwell Mk.IV was a fast and effective British cruiser tank that served with distinction from the Normandy landings of June 1944 through to the end of the war. Its high speed, a result of its powerful Meteor engine and reliable Christie suspension, made it ideal for the rapid advances made by Allied armoured divisions across France and into Germany.
