The Musashi was the second ship of the legendary Yamato-class, the largest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed. Alongside her sister ship, she represented the pinnacle of Japanese battleship design, armed with nine colossal 46cm main guns. Completed in 1942, her career was cut short when she was sunk by overwhelming U.S. air power during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
This 1/700 scale Tamiya kit is a detailed replica from the classic Waterline Series, depicting the mighty Musashi as she appeared during WWII. The model features a high degree of detail on the hull armour belts, superstructure, and armaments. The massive 46cm main gun turrets feature individually moulded barrels with sharply reproduced waterproof covers and can be rotated after assembly thanks to the use of poly caps.
