This body shell comes completely UNPAINTED and may require body post holes to be drilled. Only use a polycarbonate style paint such as The Tamiya PS series to finish these bodies, as standard paints will not adhere and/or cause damage to the body shell's surface. If you require paint, we recommend the polycarbonate safe paints.

The Tamiya Subaru Brat is a re-release of a classic RC truck that captured the hearts of enthusiasts in the 1980s. This updated and improved version brings back the nostalgia of the iconic 1970s Subaru Brat, a popular pickup truck that was solely made for export and achieved tremendous success in the U.S. market. This assembly kit not only features upgraded internal parts for enhanced performance but also includes a driver figure for a truly nostalgic feel. And for the ultimate in versatility, the kit comes with both a super-detailed resin body for shelf display and a lightweight, durable polycarbonate body for racing action.
The Subaru Brat is built on a unique space frame chassis with a 4-wheel independent suspension system, featuring front double wishbones and rear trailing arms. The rear suspension has been updated with diaphragm-type oil dampers and coil springs for improved handling and stability. A 540 Type motor drives the differential-equipped gearbox, and the drive shaft features a dog bone joint for optimal transmission efficiency. The realistic 8-spoke wheels are fitted with block pattern tyres, completing the classic look of this iconic truck. Whether you're a collector, a racer, or simply a fan of classic cars, the Tamiya Subaru Brat is a must-have addition to your RC collection.
