Traxxas Stability Management TSM® makes it easier to control your vehicle on slippery surfaces such as loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. Punch it off the line, and TSM senses the vehicle's direction and makes steering corrections to provide straight-ahead full throttle acceleration without loss of control. When cornering, TSM makes intuitive corrections to maintain the vehicle's line, then hammer the throttle earlier in the turn for much faster exit speeds. TSM also improves braking performance by keeping the front wheels arrow straight until they come to a complete stop.

The radio system is the sole connection between the driver and machine. It has to be precise, comfortable, powerful, and reliable. The Traxxas® TQi™ radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features; long-range, high-output, 2.4GHz signal, and proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance.

Rustler VXL's Alias® step-pin rear tyres and front ribbed tyres provide superior control with performance-engineered foam inserts to keep the truck firmly planted on extreme off-road terrain. The 2.8" black-chrome 6-spoke rims feature a lightweight horizontal bead to hold the tyre to the rim even under extreme rpm.

Rustler VXL's race-ready Magnum 272R transmission is built for massive torque with high-strength steel input, idler, and differential gears and large-diameter bearings. The input gear is keyed and press fit onto the top shaft for greater precision and strength than a pin-mounted gear.

The Torque-Control slipper clutch provides smooth and consistent traction control, thanks to its semi-metallic friction pads and finned aluminium pressure plates. This design ensures reliable performance and allows for easy spur gear changes without affecting the slipper adjustment.

The TSM TQi 2.4GHz micro receiver uses an integrated LINK button for fast and easy binding. A two-colour LED indicates power-on and bind status for fool-proof control and convenience. Traxxas Link Model Memory allows the receiver to recognise up to thirty TQi 2.4Ghz Traxxas Link enabled transmitters. In the event of signal loss, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position. The Fail Safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be set or activated. The 5-channel receiver features three telemetry ports to allow real-time data to be transmitted from your vehicle to the TQi transmitter.

This vehicle is equipped with a Traxxas digital high-torque, ball bearing steering servo (#2075) for responsive and precise steering control. This waterproof servo delivers unmatched torque and quick response, ensuring your buggy handles with agility and precision on any terrain.

Rustler's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilise X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to change precisely the ride height and spring preload. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.

Precision rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
