Overview

The Panzerbeobachtungswagen IV was a specialised armoured artillery observation vehicle based on the chassis of Germany's workhorse Panzer IV tank. To avoid being singled out on the battlefield, it retained its turret and a dummy main gun to look like a standard tank, but its interior was completely reconfigured. It was packed with advanced radio equipment and observation optics, serving as the forward eyes for German artillery batteries.

This huge 1/16 scale kit from Trumpeter is the ultimate replica of the Panzer IV Ausf.J in its unique artillery observation configuration. With an incredible 2000+ parts, this is a true "super kit" that features a complete, museum-quality interior for every compartment, from the driver's station and radio room to the turret and engine bay. It includes a turned metal gun barrel, eight photo-etched frets, metal springs, and fully workable individual track links for an unparalleled level of detail.

    This is a fantastic kit, and should be a lot of work for the price, if it wasn't I'd be disappointed, big kit big parts better detail...Equals lots of work, and kits are getting more expensive because now you get working track, photo etch, and in some kits even more, great price for what it is

    great kit good detail but a lot of work & painting interior before assembly Tanks in 1/16 getting very expensive now
