The Night Timber X 1.2m comes alive with factory-installed LED lights embedded throughout its airframe, allowing you to fly brilliantly day or night. These lights are powered by your 3S or 4S 2200–3200mAh flight battery and can be easily disconnected for daytime flights. It also features realistic landing, navigation, and strobe lights.

This Night Timber X 1.2m is packed with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works in the background to smooth out wind effects, providing a locked-in feel. Optional SAFE Select offers pitch/bank limits and self-levelling, making this a much easier plane to fly, all switchable for your convenience.

The Night Timber X 1.2m boasts an exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC, providing vital real-time telemetry data like motor RPM, current, and battery voltage. View this info via compatible Spektrum receivers and AirWare™ equipped transmitters as you fly. It even includes motor reversing for special ground handling.

Experience incredible agility with the Night Timber X 1.2m! Its wing design features a shorter span, much larger ailerons and flaps, plus an enlarged elevator and rudder for extreme 3D aerobatic capability. Double-bevelled hinge lines allow high deflection on all control surfaces, including flaps that move both ways, allowing for wild or mild flight.

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 60-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC, a specially-tuned motor, and propeller. This combination delivers plenty of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery, or provides even more power and vertical performance with a 4S battery, all without needing any modifications.

Built with composite-reinforced, hollow-core EPO material, the Night Timber X 1.2m offers a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe, maintaining the same flying weight as the original Timber X, even with the added LEDs. It's also equipped with high-torque, metal-geared servos and the original model's shock-absorbing landing gear with oversized tundra-style wheels for aggressive flying from almost any surface.

With a shorter wingspan yet similar wing area to the original Timber 1.5m, plus drooped wingtips and optional leading-edge slats, the Night Timber X 1.2m excels in Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) performance. These features, combined with its lightweight design, oversized flaps, and high-power system, allow it to take off or land in as little as two feet (0.6m) or less.

Owners of an original or Turbo Timber® 1.5m can use their existing float set on the Night Timber X 1.2m. Alternatively, EDO-style floats are available separately (EFL5261), including the necessary mounting struts and a dual-rudder steering system for excellent handling and easy take-offs and landings on water.
