This reimagined icon captures the spirit of the original Tomahawk, a buggy that dominated off-road racing in the 1980s, while incorporating modern technology and performance enhancements for today's enthusiasts. The Tomahawk retains the classic Spartan double-deck design and aggressive styling, but with upgraded materials and components throughout.

The Tomahawk features a durable and lightweight 6061T6 forged aluminium chassis, providing exceptional strength and rigidity. The two-piece die-cast aluminium gearbox with differential gears and an included slipper clutch delivers smooth and reliable power transfer, while precision 48-pitch gears ensure precise control and responsiveness. The flat under-surface of the countersunk chassis minimises contact resistance and scraping, enhancing durability for off-road adventures. Stainless steel shafts and aluminium cylinders in the oil shocks provide a smooth and consistent damping action, delivering a true racing buggy experience.

This re-release is not simply a reproduction of the original machine. Each key component has been updated with modern R/C racing technology and power sources to produce superior circuit performance. Many will appreciate its nostalgic style, but eliminating the radio box to reduce weight and side mounting of the battery for optimal weight distribution sharpens the edge of the Tomahawk for the pure enjoyment of true racing performance.

Aluminium Arms

The Kyosho 2WD buggy range suspension arms are crafted from high-quality 6061-T6 forged aluminium, providing the ultimate combination of precision, rigidity, durability, and lightness. The wide front tread improves stability and control, allowing you to push the limits with confidence.  

High Efficiency Gearing

Kyosho 2WD buggy range drivetrain features high-efficiency 48-pitch gears made from a combination of sintered alloy and nylon. Two gears are included for high-speed and low-speed settings, while an optional ball differential is available for further customisation.  

Aluminium Shock Absorbers

The oil shocks, with their aluminium cylinders and stainless steel shafts, deliver smooth and effective damping. The signature colour caps pay homage to the original, adding a touch of nostalgia. 

Iconic Body Shell

Relive the glory days of RC racing with the Tomahawk's iconic body design, faithfully recreated from the original mould. The included driver figure and dust cover add a touch of realism and nostalgia. The realistic look roof light buckets have been added for additional scale detail.

Lightweight Chassis

The Tomahawk shares the Scorpion's robust chassis structure and materials, but with a key difference: the removal of the radio box reduces weight by 80g, enhancing agility and performance.  

Improved Rigidity

The Tomahawk's chassis features enhanced rigidity, thanks to the resin clamp that secures the front of the lower deck. This upgrade improves handling and provides a more stable platform for the electronics.
