The Kyosho Turbo Scorpion is more than just a reproduction — it is the 5th model to return as part of the vintage series. The ever-popular Scorpion originally released in 1982 has undergone a detailed overhaul to match modern performance with retro styling. The new Turbo Scorpion remains true to the essence of the unique Scorpion design throughout, but features Scorpion-style wheels in the larger 2.2-inch modern standard size for improved off-road performance.

12mm oil shocks based on the Optima deliver rock-solid running stability and excellent damping characteristics. A 20mm wider front tread and 10mm longer wheelbase than the original Scorpion realise improved control and handling performance. The standard Turbo Scorpion is a fully optioned chassis configuration ready to accept modern-day power sources and compete on modern race circuits.

Aluminium Arms

The Kyosho 2WD buggy range suspension arms are crafted from high-quality 6061-T6 forged aluminium, providing the ultimate combination of precision, rigidity, durability, and lightness. The wide front tread improves stability and control, allowing you to push the limits with confidence.

High Efficiency Gearing

Kyosho 2WD buggy range drivetrain features high-efficiency 48-pitch gears made from a combination of sintered alloy and nylon. Two gears are included for high-speed and low-speed settings, while an optional ball differential is available for further customisation.

Aluminium Shock Absorbers

The oil shocks, with their aluminium cylinders and stainless steel shafts, deliver smooth and effective damping. The signature colour caps pay homage to the original, adding a touch of nostalgia.

Diecast Gearbox

The two-piece aluminium diecast gearbox, with its built-in gear differential and protective gear cover, delivers smooth and reliable performance. The integrated slipper clutch protects the gears from damage, ensuring long-lasting durability.

Soft Compound Tyres

 The combination of soft compound ribbed front tyres and block-pattern rear tyres provides a balanced handling experience. The front tyres minimise understeer, while the rear tyres deliver sure-footed grip and traction for confident cornering and acceleration.

Experience a blend of classic style and modern performance with the Scorpion's 2.2-inch 5-spoke wheels. These wheels, inspired by the original Scorpion, provide a vintage aesthetic and enhanced handling.
